Important: This information is only intended for those referred by domestic violence or women’s protection services. It does not apply to clients coming privately or using Medicare.

If you’ve been referred by a community services agency (such as intouch), here’s how it works:

Who arranges the sessions?
Your referring agency (e.g., a domestic violence or women’s protection service) writes to my email directly to request cost engagement letter from my private practice, and they approve the number of sessions with my practice first.

How do sessions work?
Prepaid psychotherapy sessions are just like privately funded therapy. For example, if you miss a session, it is deducted from the total number of approved sessions; Therapy FAQS. We have a talk about your difficulties and what may be happening for you in the sessions. You choose the issues and topics you wish to discuss in these sessions.

Confidentiality
Your sessions are confidential. Only minimal administrative information, like attendance, is provided with the referring agency for funding purposes and at the psychologist’s clinical discretion. Your personal and clinical information are handled according to consideration of the practice privacy information.

Number of sessions
The referring agency decides how many sessions are funded for you. However, once you are in therapeutic sessions, will work together within those sessions, and you’ll get support for as long as sessions are approved. If you continue with therapy beyond the approved number of sessions, you must pay for these sessions and we enter a private therapy arrangement together.

Continuing therapy
If you wish to continue therapy after funded sessions end, we can discuss private sessions at my practice and my usual fees apply.

Questions
Any questions about the therapy can be raised directly with me in your sessions. For prepaid arrangements, please speak with the referring agency.

This in a brief overview, and while care has been taken to provide accurate information, it is impossible to guarantee it due to updates. If you have a specific question about therapy you are welcome to contact me.
